1. fluffy white dogs keep a good [read: nice-slow] pace (good puppy).
2. its MUCH more scenic / relaxing / entertaining to run on a trail at the South Whidbey Community Park than it is in running on cement in NJ.
3. even though fluffy white dogs keep a good pace -- they look at you with these big puppy eyes saying "oh my god woman, Im so tired, look how short my legs are" which it makes it way too easy to allow yourself walk (bad puppy).
4. running with a partner makes it easier to push yourself, I need that (good Mikey).
5. the smaller fluffy puppy always has to lead.
