Bamboozled Headband

quick cable project

Bamboozled headband I needed a bit of a break from Needle felting all those letters, so I found a nice quick cable project on Ravelry.com and worked on it this week.

I really like that this headband tapers at each end so that you don't have a huge bulk of fabric at the back of your head. I made a few modifications to the pattern -- mainly I knit it on size 7 needles rather than 6 (I couldn't find my 6's) so I shortened some of the cable twists so that the headband wouldn't be too long. I think it turned out pretty nicely. I think I may knit this project again with some finger-weight yarn to make a thin headband... or maybe I'll modify the pattern a bunch to add some more cableing in the center.... we shall see. I like playing with cables.

  • the materials:
    • size 7 needles
    • 1 ball worsted weight yarn (I used some left-over Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Loden)
    • Cable needle
